PSI-I Zoom Conversations 2022

You are welcome to join PSI-I zoom Conversations. These informal Conversations are free and do not require registration.

 

The idea for these Conversations came out of our PSI-I Launch Event in 2021, where there was enthusiasm for talking more often about psychosocial healthcare in relation to intersex or variations in sex characteristics. Participants in these conversations may come from anywhere in the world, and may bring different terminology and different disciplinary perspectives or specialist knowledge bases. It is worth knowing that words such as "client/patient/service user" are used differently in different parts of the world. Similarly, terms such as intersex/VSC/DSD are used differently in different locations. Participants in the planned Conversations are reminded to choose language that is as respectful as possible, while being mindful that the perception of any given term may differ from one location to another.

Bio:
Anick Soni FRSA (he/him) is an award-winning Creative Consultant, Writer, and Researcher. Anick holds a degree in Law and is due to begin training as a Social Worker later this year. He is currently working on his first collection of stories for children. In 2020, Anick co-founded InterconnectedUK (iCONUK) - an intersex-led charity that focuses on facilitating connections, and the creation of purposeful content, done well, and made accessible.
